Marvel Now Initiative Revamps Superhero Ensemble, Boon to Online Slots Players
Marvel Comics is rolling out a series of updates to its legendary cast of characters as part of its so-called “Marvel Now” initiative. Though many of the comic superheroes first debuted between 50–60
years ago, their stories and adventures still resonate strongly with fans well into the 21st century. Thisis of course in great part due to the recent wave of sensational Hollywood blockbuster films portraying the action heroes on the big screen. Also contributing to the recent success of the Marvel brand are a number of state-of-the-art themed slot games, such as the thrilling Fantastic Four slots.

5. The Hulk
Described as rage personified, the Hulk has a huge fanbase of people who can relate to unleashing their rage. Hulk's superhuman strength and resiliance makes him a formitable opponant. As they day, you wouldn't like him when he's angry.
Otherwise known as the Dark Knight, Batman brings a sense of dark brooding that intrigues people. And it doesn't hurt that his alter ego is a multi-millionaire. While batman has no real superpowers, he's got enough gadgets to make any techie envious.
3. Iron Man
Marvel Publishing, Inc. is more commonly known as Marvel Comics and is a US company that specializes in publishing comic books. Marvel Entertainment, Inc. is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company and owns Marvel Publishing.
Some of the superheroes that Marvel can boast of include Doctor Strange, The Ghost Rider, The Punisher, The X Men, The Daredevil, The Hulk, Captain America, The Fantastic Four, The Wolverine, Iron Man and Spider Man.
DC Comics was founded by National Allied Publications in 1934 and is one of the most popular largest comic book companies operating in the US marketplace for comic books. DC Entertainment National Allied Publications is the publishing division for National Allied Publications and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Warner Brothers Entertainment, which in turn is wholly owned by Time Warner.
DC Comics provides material which features a large number of well known superheroes, including The Justice League, The Green Arrow, The Teen Titans, Captain Marvel, The Green Lantern, The Flash Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman.
When the comic book format was introduced in 1934 with the publication of Famous Funnies, only the Japanese and the British comic book industries were close competitors to the United States with the number of titles. In the US, comic books have been primarily marketed to young adult readers, although there have also been titles produced which catered to adult audiences.
The comic book history in the US can be divided into several historical eras or ages which include:
• The Platinum Age
• The Golden Age
• The Silver Age
• The Bronze Age
• The Modern Age
The terms for these ages were originated by the Fandom Press and the debate continues among historians as to the precise boundaries for these ages.
DC comics have been around for a long time, and there have been hundreds of villians that have come and gone. Here are my favorites.
#5 Lex Luther -
Lex Luthor has no super human powers himself. However, Luthor is a genius and financial wizard. He is one of the most powerful men on the planet and has access to all the technology developed by his company Lex-Corp and the wealth to buy anything he desires.
#4 Sinestro - This is actually more than one villian. They all look the same and are all part of what is called the Sinestro Corps. They use yellow rings that are similar to the one used by the Green Lantern. The powerful yellow power rings were built on a planet named Qward. They use the weilders thoughts to create opjects out o thin air. The yellow rings differ than Green Lantern's green ring in that they are fueled by fear rather than willpower. They also have no known weaknesses, unlike Green Lantern ring which had a vulnerability to yellow. The yellow power rings are not restricted from killing intelligent life as the Green Lantern's power rings were.
#3 Despero - Despero gained enhanced strength and endurance after bathing in the flame of Py’tar.
Mental Powers: Despero’s mutant third eye gives him vast mental powers that include : Hypnosis, Illusion casting, Telepathy and Telekinesis.
#5 - Venom
While SPIDER-MAN was on the BEYONDER’S “Battleworld,” he acquired a black costume, which turned out to be an alien being that bonded itself to him. Spider-Man rejected this alien symbiote, which then latched onto an ex-Daily Globe columnist Eddie Brock. He had wrecked his career by identifying the wrong man as a murderer known as the Sin-Eater – an error revealed by Spider-Man.
#4 - Galactus
As the only survivor of the universe that came before the universe today, Galactus’s fate is said to be inextricably bound with the entire cosmos. While he has occasionally be a force for good, he has far more often he has brought doom upon entire races and civilizations by consuming entire planets. His insatiable hunger for energy is the force that compels him to exist.
#3 - Loki
Loki was born the son of Laufey, king of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim. Ashamed of Loki’s small size, Laufey hid him away, but the child’s existence came to light after the Frost Giants were defeated in a battle with the Asgardians. Odin, the ruler of Asgard, discovered Loki in the Frost Giants’ fortress. Realizing that Loki was the son of Laufrey, a king who he had slain, Odin took the boy back to Asgard and raised him as his own son.
